There are two kinds of sufferers in this world: those who suffer from a lack of life and those who suffer from an overabundance of life. I’ve always found myself in the second category. When you come to think of it, almost all human behavior and activity is not essentially any different from animal behavior. The most advanced technologies and craftsmanship bring us, at best, up to the super-chimpanzee level. Actually, the gap between, say, Plato or Nietzsche and the average human is greater than the gap between that chimpanzee and the average human. The realm of the real spirit, the true artist, the saint, the philosopher, is rarely achieved.

Why so few? Why is world history and evolution not stories of progress but rather this endless and futile addition of zeroes. No greater values have developed. Hell, the Greeks 3,000 years ago were just as advanced as we are. So what are these barriers that keep people from reaching anywhere near their real potential? The answer to that can be found in another question, and that’s this: Which is the most universal human characteristic – fear or laziness?ImageImage

  1. I live in the Norwich area, so London is a bit far from me, but feel free to visit ENGLAND 😀 and let me know when you decide to do so. 🙂

  2. That’s funny. Every time I visited Stockholm there was no rain. Just amazingness.
After all, if you do know what to do on a rainy Sunday afternoon, it might never rain. 🙂

  3. “There are two kinds of sufferers in this world: those who suffer from a lack of life and those who suffer from an overabundance of life. I’ve always found myself in the second category.” – Brilliant! So I finally find I’m not the only one in the second category – I always found it to be less popular but amazing. 🙂

  4. … sad to say, many are simply not interested in going beyond what they see with their own two eyes. They end up being the losers and miss out on seeing incredible cultures, places and having fantastic relationships with people they are too afraid to get to know…

  5. Thank you 🙂 ,I agree ,fear is our biggest obsticle ..what if things don’t work out? What if They do and I can’t handle it ? Et.c …Another big obsticle is ignorance …Almost cousin with laziness …A few people care the rest are just curious

  6. …loved this film! It’s a great question you pose too… why so few why truly master the art of being themselves in this world? I am of the mind that fear is greater than laziness. Society so often points us away from the beauty inherent in the discovery of our true selves. Why? Fear, Fear that a powerfully, self-aware society will be next to impossible to govern! I heard this said about France and the French people and my heart started beating faster with the truth of it. If you stand up to an inadequate system of government, you force it to stand up for you… another great post!
